I’m Jarrad, the filmmaker behind Avowed Films. I believe the best wedding films don’t come from turning your wedding into a production. They come from paying attention — knowing when to step in, when to disappear, and recognizing the moments you’ll want to experience again years from now.

Why Wedding Films Matter to Me

This is where I don’t want to invent your story. You should give me the raw answer later, and I’ll shape it. This is probably the most personal copy on the entire website, so it shouldn’t come from generic wedding-marketing language.

My Approach

Behind every effortless film is a lot of preparation. I plan carefully, capture your day from multiple perspectives, and build redundancy into the moments that can’t be repeated. But that preparation has one purpose: once your wedding begins, you shouldn’t have to think about me.

A Glimpse of Me

I’m a husband, a dad to two boys, a photographer, and happiest somewhere outdoors — especially if there’s a water and sun (optional in the PNW) involved. Filmmaking may be the craft, but people and experiences are what keep me interested in telling stories. Experiecing Weddings is therapeutic to me, and I frequently obsess over your film while editing because I cannot limit my passion when it comes to perfection.
